Emma Watson attends the British Film Institute 75th birthday gala

Emma Watson may have gotten her wish to have a photograph taken with Orlando Bloom! Both attended a gala celebrating the BFI"s 75th birthday. I have no idea how much press was invited, it seemed to be a private affair. But it's nice to see her actively support the British film industry.

Emma also made Moviefone's 25 Under 25: Hollywood's Hottest Stars list for 2008. It mentions Napoleon and Betsy as a future project and has some really great comments about Emma from David Heyman, the Harry Potter producer.

“Emma Watson. What She’s Done: As Hermione in five ‘Harry Potter’ pics, Watson has blossomed in front of eyes, from cute kid to- dare we say it- hot young adult. What’s Next: She’ll voice Princess Pea in this winter’s ‘The Tale of Desperaux,’ then really break out of the ‘Potter’ mold in ‘09’s ‘Napoleon and Betsy.’ Of course she also has three more ‘Potter’ hits on the way. Industry Buzz: “She is one of the brightest people I have ever met, with a razor-sharp mind,” says ‘Harry Potter’ producer David Heyman. “After seeing her work in ‘Half-Blood Prince,’ I can assuredly say she can do it all. She is a great comedienne, and brings real gravitas to the dramatic scenes.

Plus it seems Emma's Italian Vogue appearance is catching people's attention. The Daily Mail has an article that compares Emma is Grace Kelly. Hmm. Wonder where they got that? LOL. (See a previous blog entry at the Coffee Break!) Plus there are more news sources picking up on these photos, even in the U.S. So congrats Emma. They were beautiful pictures.

There is a new Ballet Shoes review out and the reviewer had very nice things to say about the movie in general and Emma's performance.

That's all for now, but if an Orlando and Emma pic comes up, you bet I'll post it!
