Emma Watson tells Vogue UK a love affair has begun

Vogue UK has a new article with Emma Watson. She talks about her experience modelling for the Italian Vogue spread. Best news for Emma fans is that her agent at Storm says that she is in huge demand in the fashion industry. It's a really intelligent article so I won't spoil it any longer and you'll have to read to the end to read about her new love affair;)

Elementary, My Dear Watson

IF you think you've got Emma Watson pegged, think again. The girl formerly known as Hermione Granger has officially grown up - in couture, no less - on the pages of this month's Vogue Italia.
The shoot, by photographer Mark Seliger, shows a stunningly made-up Watson rampaging through an opulent country mansion in the world's most beautiful dresses. And it's a side of the actress that we should get used to. Having been represented by Storm Special Bookings for two years now, we're told by her agent there's huge demand for her from the fashion industry - a world with which Watson is increasingly enamoured.
"The Italian Vogue photo shoot was a fascinating experience. I was very excited to work with Vogue for the first time, but also to be given the chance to model couture," she explains. "Each dress was so special and important (because it is one of a kind), and we only had a short time to shoot each one before it had to go elsewhere to be worn or shot by someone else. This meant the shoot had a real momentum. And the jewellery to match each dress came with its own security guards."
As glamorous as that sounds, however, apparently it has its disadvantages.
"I was terrified of ripping, getting mud (as we shot outdoors), cake, a prop, or anything on the dresses!" she tells us. "I felt like I was learning a whole new set of rules to a new game - just like shooting a film. Mark encouraged me to become a different person or character for photograph and so they all tell difference stories. So, in the end, I combined two loves: art/fashion and acting."
She adds: "I enjoyed the fact that Mark treated me like he would have done any other model and pushed to get the best out of me. I learnt a lot and have found a whole new respect for the hard work models put into their work and for couture. A love affair has begun."
You heard it here first.
