Since Shania Twain's announcement of an upcoming album release tentatively scheduled for 2008, her official online fan club has been buzzing with activity. The club has posted photos and videos from Shania's appearance at the Academy of Country Music Awards and news has been constantly flowing into the fan club site since Shania's song "Rock This Country!" was nominated to become Hilary Clinton's official campaign song. Universal Records has also created a Shania Twain channel on YouTube that has been linked on ShaniaTwain.com and the official fan club site.
In recent news posted by her fan club, Coty has released a new fragrance called "Shania by Starlight." Shania herself describes the new fragrance as "sexier and more sensual." Official fan club members will receive a kit this fall that includes a sample of the new scent along with other fan club branded goodies not found for sale anywhere else. Thousands of fan club members will soon have a chance to enter a contest to win an autographed copy of a Rolling Stone issue with Shania on the cover. Along with news updates, multimedia content, a chat room, message board, and contests, the official online fan club will be the main site to offer member presale tickets to any future Shania tour dates.
