Update on Perks of Being a Wallflower

There seems to be a whole lot of rumors and gossip regarding Emma Watson's possible new movie "The Perks of Being Wallflower." First of all continue to follow wpxi for possible new information that will hopefully will be coming soon if all works out well. Fingers crossed. They added another quote from the mini interview they had with Mr. Chbosky.

"Chbosky, who will also direct the film, told See & Be Seen Friday that the earliest filming will begin is May 2011.

"Pittsburgh is too important to me and this story to consider filming 'Perks' anywhere else," Chbosky said."

Fact check:

1. Variety announced that Logan Lerman and Emma were in talks for the movie last May.

2. Stephen confirmed Emma was playing "Sam" at a lecture at Slippery Rock University in the beginning of October.

3. Stephen confirmed to wpxi that filming will be around May, 2011 at the earliest.

4. He did not confirm any cast to wpxi.

5. Bridge City Films, Pittsburgh located, talked to an agent that told them that Emma was confirmed for the role and filming will begin early 2011. They are NOT the production company!

So that's what we got so far. Like we mentioned hopefully wpxi will get more information from Mr. Chbosky himself soon so stay tuned to their website.
